Akshaye Khanna Holds Vastu Shanti Havan at Alibaug Home After ‘Dhurandhar’ Success

Bollywood actor Akshaye Khanna performed a Vastu Shanti Havan at his Alibaug bungalow following the commercial success of his latest film Dhurandhar, which has reportedly crossed ₹600 crore at the global box office. The ceremony was held quietly at his residence, reflecting the actor’s long-standing preference for privacy and restraint away from the public spotlight.

Images and a short video from the puja surfaced on social media on Tuesday after being shared by priest Shivam Mhatre, who conducted the ritual. In his post, Mhatre said he was honoured to perform the havan at Khanna’s home and described the actor as calm, simple, and positive in his approach. Khanna was also seen posing briefly for photographs with the priest after the ceremony.

The havan comes at a time when Dhurandhar continues to receive strong audience response, particularly for Khanna’s portrayal of Rahman Dakait. His performance has been widely discussed for its dialogue delivery, understated style, and screen presence, adding to the film’s momentum at the box office since its release on December 5, 2025.

Despite the film’s success, Khanna has largely stayed away from promotional appearances, interviews, and social media engagement. Sources close to the actor said he is currently spending time at his Alibaug home, choosing a low-key routine after an intense shooting and release phase.

Dhurandhar, a spy thriller, features an ensemble cast including Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, and Akshaye Khanna in pivotal roles. The film also stars Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, and Danish Pandor. Directed as a high-stakes espionage drama, it has been among the top-performing Hindi films of the year.

Industry observers note that Khanna’s recent body of work—including Drishyam 2, Section 375, and Chhaava—has reinforced his reputation as a selective actor who prioritises strong scripts and layered characters. With Dhurandhar’s sequel already scheduled for release on March 19, 2026, expectations around his continued involvement remain high.

For now, however, the actor appears focused on personal reflection, marking professional success with tradition rather than public celebration.
