Amitabh Bachchan Joins Salman Khan’s ‘Battle of Galwan’?

Speculations are rife that Amitabh Bachchan has joined Salman Khan’s much-anticipated film Battle of Galwan. A picture of Amitabh Bachchan from the movie’s set, alongside director Apoorva Lakhia, recently went viral, fueling excitement among fans

Director Apoorva Lakhia shared the picture on his official social media handle with the caption, “Guess what he’s telling me. #Legend on the set today. Amitabh Bachchan.” Following the post, rumours quickly spread that Big B has officially come on board. However, no formal confirmation has been made yet by the makers or the actors.

If true, Battle of Galwan will mark the fourth collaboration between Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan. The two legends have previously worked together in Baghban, Babul, and God Tussi Great Ho. Amitabh also lent his voice as the narrator in Hello Brother.

Adding to the excitement, Govinda has also begun shooting for the film, reuniting with Salman after 18 years. The duo last appeared together in Partner and Salaam-e-Ishq (both released in 2007). Salman also made a cameo in Govinda’s Deewane Mastane.

Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, Battle of Galwan is nearing completion, with its second schedule having commenced in Mumbai on October 10. The film features an ensemble cast including Chitrangada Singh, Ankur Bhatia, Abhilash Chaudhary, Vipin Bhardwaj, Siddharth Mooli, and Zen Shaw in key roles. The movie is expected to hit theatres next year.

About the Film:
Battle of Galwan is based on the real-life unarmed clash between Indian and Chinese forces in the Galwan Valley near the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh. The incident, which occurred on June 15, 2020, followed escalating tensions after China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) attempted to build structures in the area.

During the standoff, soldiers from India’s 16 Bihar Regiment, led by Colonel Santosh Babu, engaged in a brutal hand-to-hand confrontation with Chinese troops using sticks, rods, and stones — without firearms. Twenty Indian soldiers, including Colonel Babu, were martyred in the clash.

In the film, Salman Khan plays the role of Colonel Santosh Babu, portraying his courage and leadership during one of the most heroic and tragic episodes in recent Indian military history
