The teaser, which has since leaked on social media, introduces Aneet’s character as the “creator, destroyer, and mother of all.” A mysterious still from the film is also circulating online, showing a woman in a white lehenga with a long braid standing in a forest — though her face is hidden, fans believe it’s Aneet.
Originally slated for an early 2025 release, Shakti Shalini will now hit theatres on December 24, 2026. While Kiara Advani was initially cast in the lead role, the part has now officially gone to Aneet. This project marks her first venture into the horror genre.
Aneet Padda’s journey so far
Aneet made her acting debut in Salaam Venky alongside Kajol and Vishal Jethwa, followed by a key role in the web series Big Girls Don’t Cry, where she shared the screen with Pooja Bhatt and Raima Sen.
However, it was Mohit Suri’s romantic drama Saiyaara that brought her overnight fame. Starring opposite Ahan Panday, the film marked the big-screen debut for both actors and established Aneet as one of Bollywood’s most promising new faces.
