A biopic on former President and renowned scientist Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam has been officially announced. Acclaimed actor Dhanush is set to play the iconic role, bringing the inspirational life of the "Missile Man of India" to the silver screen.

India's 11th President and 'Missile Man' Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam is known for living his life with simplicity and serving the country selflessly. He has inspired many people with his works. Now, there is going to be a chance to see his inspirational life on screen. It is reported that director Om Raut is going to make a biopic on Kalam ji, in which South star Dhanush is going to be seen. Sharing the poster of the film Kalam, Dhanush wrote on Instagram, 'I am truly blessed and very humbled to portray the life of such an inspiring and generous leader - our own Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Sir.'

This film will be produced jointly by Abhishek Agarwal, Bhushan Kumar, Krishna Kumar and Anil Sunkar. Its screenplay is written by Saiwyn Quadras. South star Dhanush will be seen playing his character in this film.
