Shraddha Kapoor Shares Health Update After On-Set Leg Injury, Filming of Eetha Paused

Shraddha Kapoor on Monday shared a video updating fans about a leg injury she suffered during the shoot of her upcoming film Eetha. The actress confirmed she has sustained a muscle tear but added that her recovery only requires rest. The incident occurred last week during a dance sequence for the film being shot near Nashik

In the video, Kapoor displayed the plaster on her leg and joked that she was “roaming around like a Terminator.” She assured fans that the injury was not severe. “The muscles are torn, but it will heal. I just need a little rest and then I’ll be perfectly fine,” she said.

The injury happened in Aundhewadi while Kapoor was performing an intense Lavani dance routine. The film, based on the life of renowned Lavani and Tamasha artist Vithabai Bhau Narayangaonkar, required her to execute rapid footwork. Kapoor was dressed in full Lavani attireincluding a Nauvari saree, heavy jewellery, and a traditional waist belt—when she slipped and hurt her leg.

Following the incident, the crew halted filming for two weeks. Production will resume once Kapoor is medically cleared for physically demanding scenes. However, the actor has advised the makers to continue shooting non-action portions in Mumbai instead of extending the break. In response, a new set is being constructed at Madh Island to film her close-up and emotional sequences.

Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, Eetha features Randeep Hooda and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub in key roles. Kapoor has undergone a significant physical transformation for the role and reportedly gained 51 kilograms to portray Vithabai with authenticity.

The production team is expected to review the shooting schedule later this month, depending on Kapoor’s recovery and medical recommendations.
