Deepika Padukone unfollowing controversy: We were never following each other

Farah Khan had shared a vlog with actress Radhika Madan, in which both were seen discussing work. During this, Farah asked Radhika about her first audition experience and remarked, "Your shift wouldn't have been just 8 hours, would it?" To this, Radhika replied that she had worked non-stop for 48 to 56 hours. On this, Farah said, "Gold is forged only through such intense dedication."

Not only this, in another vlog, Farah's cook Dilip asked her when Deepika Padukone would come on the show. To this, Farah replied that she now only shoots for 8 hours and doesn't have time to appear on the vlog. When Dilip asked again, "Deepika Padukone ma'am, when will she come on our show?" Farah then said, "She will come the day you go to the village." Deepika Padukone now only shoots for 8 hours, she doesn't have time to come on the show.

Farah clarifies rumours

When a news agency reached out to Farah Khan to confirm if she unfollowed Deepika, the director said, "To begin with, we were not following each other earlier, too!! We had made a pact during the Happy New Year shoot that we wouldn't communicate on Instagram, instead, direct message and call. We don't even wish birthday wishes on Insta because Deepika doesn't like it. Also, my 8-hour comment wasn't a dig; it was to make Dilip say that he will now also work 8 hours when he actually works just for 2 hours!"
