The film "Udaipur Files: Kanhaiya Lal Tailor Murder", is stuck in a legal tussle after several petitions seeking a stay on its release on July 11. The film is based on the murder of Udaipur tailor Kanhaiya Lal in the year 2022.
Court orders immediate screening
The Delhi High Court on Wednesday directed the makers of the film to arrange for an immediate screening of the film for all the lawyers appearing in the case. Chief Justice D.K. A division bench of Upadhyay and Justice Aneesh Dayal directed the lawyers representing the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and the petitioners to watch the film and come to the court again on Thursday with their apprehensions, if any.
