Bollywood legend Dharmendra has been discharged from Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital on Wednesday morning. The 89-year-old actor, who was admitted due to health complications earlier this week, has shown significant improvement, and his family has decided to continue his treatment at home under medical supervision.
At around 7:30 a.m., Dharmendra was taken home to Bandra in a fully covered ambulance. His son, actor Bobby Deol, accompanied him from the hospital.
In an official family statement, Bobby Deol confirmed, “Dharmendra ji’s health is now stable. He has been discharged from the hospital, and his follow-up care will continue at home. We thank the doctors, fans, and well-wishers for their prayers and support. We request everyone to respect his privacy.”
Hospital sources also confirmed that necessary medical equipment has been arranged at his residence to ensure routine monitoring and care.
Over the past few days, misleading rumors about Dharmendra’s health had circulated on social media, including false reports of his death. His wife, actress and MP Hema Malini, strongly condemned these rumors on X, calling them “irresponsible and deeply hurtful to the family.”
During his hospitalization, several Bollywood celebrities, including Esha Deol, Sunny Deol’s sons, and Bobby Deol’s wife, visited him. Actors Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan were also among those who met the veteran star to check on his health.
Now recovering at home, Dharmendra has been advised rest and limited physical activity. His family shared that his condition continues to improve and that he is expected to resume his normal routine soon.
Fans across social media have flooded platforms with messages of love and prayers using hashtags like #GetWellSoonDharamPaaji and #LegendDharmendra.
