Dharmendra Passes Away at 89

Bollywood has lost one of its most iconic stars. Veteran actor Dharmendra, affectionately known as “He-Man” and “Dharam Paaji,” died earlier today at the age of 89, marking the end of a glorious career that spanned more than six decades
An official statement from the family is still awaited, and security has been tightened at the Vile Parle crematorium, where several celebritiesincluding his daughter Esha Deol and Amitabh Bachchan have already arrived. Concerns about the actor’s health had resurfaced after an ambulance was spotted at his residence on Monday, accompanied by increased security.
According to IANS, Dharmendra passed away at 1:10 PM.
Recent Health Concerns
Dharmendra was discharged from Breach Candy Hospital on November 12 after being admitted on November 10 due to breathing difficulties. He had reportedly been placed on a ventilator for two days.
Following his discharge, Hema Malini spoke to journalist Subhash K. Jha, saying this period had been extremely difficult for the family. “Dharamji’s health is a major concern for us. His children stayed up all night,” she said.
She added, “I cannot allow myself to be weak there are many responsibilities. But I am relieved he returned home. He should be among his own people. The rest is in God’s hands. Please keep us in your prayers.”
