Filmfare Awards 2025: Ticket Prices ₹5,000–50,000

The 70th Filmfare Awards will be held tonight at 7:30 PM at EKA Arena, Ahmedabad, with Shah Rukh Khan hosting after 17 years. Tickets for the event are priced between ₹5,000 and ₹50,000. Celebrities have already arrived in the city to attend the grand ceremony.

The Filmfare Awards began in 1954, initially recognizing films in just five categories: Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Music Director. Meena Kumari won the first Best Actress award for Baiju Bawra, while Dilip Kumar won Best Actor for Daag. The first Best Film award went to Do Bigha Zamin, with Bimal Roy receiving Best Director. The awards were originally called the Clare Awards, named after The Times of India’s editor Clare Mendonca, before being renamed Filmfare.

Over the years, the awards have expanded to 33 categories, including Technical, Critics, and Special Awards. Winners receive “The Black Lady”, a 46.5 cm, 5-kg bronze statue of a woman with raised hands, designed by N.G. Pansare under Walter Langhammer’s supervision. Silver and gold versions were awarded on the 25th and 50th anniversaries, respectively.
