At the closing ceremony of Celebrate Cinema 2025 held at Whistling Woods International, Mumbai, Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani honored Kartik Aaryan for his standout performance in “Chandu Champion.” The event was attended by prominent industry figures, including Dr. Priti Adani, Subhash Ghai, Rajkumar Hirani, Jackie Shroff, and Mahaveer Jain. Subhash Ghai praised Kartik, calling “Chandu Champion” his finest work to date.

Adani on Cinema and AI
Speaking on the “Soft Power of Cinema,” Gautam Adani emphasized that cinema is more than entertainment—it embodies national identity and emotion. He highlighted that now is the moment for India’s stories to be told globally from an Indian perspective. Addressing AI technology, he encouraged filmmakers not to fear it, but to embrace it as the future of filmmaking.

Kartik Aaryan Reacts
After receiving the honor, Kartik Aaryan said, “Sir, your speech was one of the most inspiring of my life. I used to be afraid of AI, but you’ve completely changed my perspective.” He also called Whistling Woods the best film school in the country and described Subhash Ghai as a key mentor in his career.

Mentor Subhash Ghai’s Praise
An emotional Subhash Ghai recalled, “Very few know that Kartik was the hero of my film ‘Kaanchi’ and also worked as my assistant director for six months. ‘Chandu Champion’ is his best work to date.”
