Kajol is making a comeback to the screen after five years: Says –

Kajol is making her big-screen comeback on June 27 with the film "Maa." She is returning to the screen after a five-year gap. During this period, she made her debut on OTT platforms and appeared in several notable projects. In an interview with Dainik Bhaskar, Kajol spoke about her comeback, the growing influence of OTT, and her experience working with her husband, Ajay Devgn.

In Shaitaan, Ajay played the role of a responsible father. Now, in the next installment, you are appearing as the 'mother' in Maa. Will both of you be seen together in the next film of this trilogy?

Well, I don’t know for sure, but touchwood — let’s hope so! We’ll definitely try to fulfill your wish.

How is Ajay Devgn as a producer? Would you like to share something about that?

Ajay is a very good and responsible producer. He stays deeply involved. He’s not one of those producers who just signs the paperwork and steps away. He was actively involved in everything — from the script to the film’s climax and even the VFX.
VFX is like an entirely different film where you have to imagine everything — and Ajay handled it all very well.

How much do you like horror films, and are you someone who gets scared in real life?
I get scared very easily, which is why I don’t usually watch horror films. But now that I’ve worked in a horror movie, I’ll have to watch this one! I’m actually quite brave — I have a lot of courage. If someone tells me to go alone into a building, a garage, or some isolated place, I’ll go. It doesn’t bother me. I haven’t watched many horror films in my life, so such things don’t scare me. I’ve generally kept the horror genre away from my life, but now I’ll have to face it with this film.

In your long career, have you ever experienced anything scary or strange on set?
Yes, many times and quite a few things have happened. That would actually need a separate interview altogether! Like they say — there are many things in this world that we don’t even know about. I won’t say that such things absolutely exist or don’t exist, but there are moments when you feel something strange or unusual, and there’s no explanation for it.

Have you ever received any spiritual lessons from your mother?
The smartest and most intelligent thing my mother did was that she never forced religion upon me. She taught me from childhood that God is everywhere. You can see God anywhere, and He is always watching you. You can talk to Him anytime, and His hand will always be over your head.
The biggest thing she told me was that God is like a mother — always protective. Just like how you admit your mistakes and ask for forgiveness in front of your mother, it’s the same with God. He won’t punish you for your mistakes.
