Singer Palak Muchhal has broken her silence regarding the postponement of music composer Palash Muchhal and cricketer Smriti Mandhana’s wedding, originally scheduled for November 23. The wedding was called off at the last moment after Smriti’s father fell seriously ill.
In an interview with Filmfare, Palak Muchhal said, “Both families are going through a very difficult time. Right now, we are focusing on staying positive and spreading as much positivity as possible. We are all trying to stay strong during this challenging period.”
The wedding was abruptly postponed when Smriti Mandhana’s father was hospitalized just hours before the ceremony. The following day, Palash Muchhal’s health also worsened, requiring hospital admission. Both were subsequently discharged, but the incident triggered widespread speculation and rumours on social media. False claims circulated suggesting Palash had been unfaithful and linking him to a wedding choreographer, while Smriti reportedly removed all wedding-related posts from her social media accounts.
Neither Palash Muchhal nor Smriti Mandhana has publicly addressed the situation, and no new date for the wedding has been announced.
Meanwhile, Crayonz Entertainment, the event management company coordinating the wedding, posted a message on Instagram: “We don’t reach the finish line in every match of life, but what truly matters is the sportsman spirit. Our team worked with joy and pride, and everyone deserves a mention for it. See you soon, champions.”
The families are currently focused on recovery and well-being, prioritizing health over celebrations. Fans and well-wishers continue to send messages of support as both families navigate this difficult time.
