Amid his ongoing dispute with producer Ekta Kapoor, actor Ram Kapoor has now chosen a respectful and appreciative tone. Recently, during a podcast, Ram had claimed that intimate scenes in the TV show Bade Achhe Lagte Hain were included against his will, which led to criticism from the audience. Following his statement, Ekta Kapoor publicly slammed him, calling such actors "unprofessional" and advising them to remain silent.

Now, in a recent interview with NDTV, Ram Kapoor addressed the issue, saying:
"She can say whatever she wants, I won’t say a word. Because, in the end, she gave me what no one else did. She believed in me when no one else did. For that, I will always be grateful. She has every right to say what she wants about my career, for as long as I have one."

How the Dispute Began

The controversy began when Ram Kapoor appeared on Siddharth Kannan’s podcast and opened up about the kissing scenes in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain. He revealed that Ekta Kapoor had personally written those scenes, despite his objections. Ram said that he felt such scenes weren’t appropriate for Indian television, where multiple generations often watch shows together. However, Ekta insisted on keeping them, and they were eventually shot.

Following this, Ekta Kapoor posted a cryptic but pointed message on social media, without directly naming Ram Kapoor:
"Unprofessional actors who are giving interviews about my shows should remain silent. False claims and misleading stories only go unchallenged until I speak. But there is dignity in silence."

Despite the heated exchange, Ram Kapoor’s recent statements reflect his decision to not escalate the issue and to acknowledge Ekta Kapoor’s role in shaping his career.
