Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has secretly married filmmaker Raj Nidimoru in a private ceremony at the Linga Bhairavi temple in the Isha Yoga Center, Coimbatore, on Monday. Close sources confirmed that the wedding was attended by around 30 family members and friends. Samantha reportedly wore a red saree, and the couple later shared pictures of the newlyweds on their Instagram accounts.
The news comes after months of speculation about Samantha and Nidimoru’s relationship, which reportedly began during the filming of the second season of the popular web series The Family Man. The couple had been spotted together on multiple occasions, though neither had publicly confirmed their relationship until now.
Raj Nidimoru, 50, is a well-known filmmaker who works in partnership with Krishna DK. The duo has directed and produced several acclaimed films including Shaadi.com, 99, Shor in the City, Go Goa Gone, and Stree. They have also created successful web series like The Family Man, Farzi, Citadel, and Guns & Gulaabs. Nidimoru was previously married to Shyamali Dey in 2015; the couple divorced in 2021.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu was previously married to actor Naga Chaitanya. The couple, who met on the sets of Ye Maaya Chesave, married in 2017 according to both Hindu and Christian customs and divorced in October 2021. Since then, Samantha reverted to her maiden name, Ruth Prabhu, in July 2021.
The wedding of Samantha and Raj Nidimoru has sparked social media attention, particularly following a cryptic post by Nidimoru’s ex-wife, Shyamali Dey, shortly after reports of the engagement surfaced. Despite the public interest, the ceremony remained highly private, reflecting the couple’s preference for discretion.
This marks a new chapter in the personal lives of Samantha and Nidimoru, bringing together two prominent figures in Indian cinema and digital entertainment in a quiet yet celebratory setting.
