Samantha Ruth Prabhu Marries Filmmaker Raj Nidimoru in Private Ceremony at Coimbatore Ashram

Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu married filmmaker Raj Nidimoru in an intimate ceremony on Monday morning at the Ling Bhairavi Temple within the Isha Yoga Centre, Coimbatore. The couple exchanged vows in a low-key celebration attended by about 30 guests, keeping the event strictly private. The duo later released photographs on social media, confirming the wedding.

The ceremony marks a new chapter for both, as each enters a second marriage. Samantha was previously married to Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya. The pair wed in 2017 in a two-day Hindu and Christian celebration in Goa, but announced their separation four years later, finalising their divorce in 2021. The split drew widespread public attention, particularly given the couple’s high-profile careers and strong fan following.

Raj Nidimoru, best known as one half of the director-producer duo behind The Family Man and Citadel: Honey Bunny, was earlier married to Shhyamali De, a psychology graduate and assistant director associated with films such as Rang De Basanti and Omkara. They married in 2015 and divorced in 2022 after seven years together.

Industry sources say Samantha and Nidimoru grew close while collaborating on the upcoming series Citadel: Honey Bunny. What began as a professional association gradually evolved into a personal bond, especially as both navigated their lives post-divorce. Their decision to wed at a spiritual venue known for modest, non-public ceremonies signals their preference for privacy after years in the spotlight.

The wedding has drawn significant attention within the film fraternity, with colleagues welcoming their decision to move forward with renewed optimism. The couple is expected to resume work on ongoing projects once post-wedding rituals conclude.

Samantha and Raj’s union underscores a broader trend of public figures embracing second chances in relationships—quietly, intentionally, and on their own terms.
