Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan celebrated his 60th birthday on November 2. Unlike previous years, the actor did not appear outside his Mumbai residence Mannat, as the house is currently under renovation and he has temporarily shifted to Alibaug. Shah Rukh later issued an apology to his fans for not being able to meet them at Mannat.
However, he made it up to them by attending a fan meet-up in Bandra, where he interacted with fans and celebrated the occasion. During the event, a fan tried to grab Shah Rukh’s hand, prompting his security team to swiftly intervene and pull him back to safety.
Several videos from the event have gone viral, showing the actor cutting a birthday cake on stage, striking his iconic open-arm pose, and thanking fans for their love.
After the event, Shah Rukh Khan shared a video from his official Instagram handle and wrote:
“Thank you all for making my birthday special, as always. I am truly grateful. For those I couldn’t meet, I’ll see you soon—either in theatres or on my next birthday. Love to all of you.”
Crowd Turns Unruly Outside the Venue
As Shah Rukh stepped out of the venue to wave at fans from behind the barricades, the crowd surged forward, causing chaos. The police and the actor’s security team quickly took control of the situation. When one fan attempted to touch Shah Rukh, security personnel restrained the individual and pulled the actor back.
Fans had started gathering outside Mannat since the previous night, expecting Shah Rukh to greet them as usual. However, when he didn’t appear, police had to block Bandstand Road to manage the swelling crowd.
Later that evening, Shah Rukh Khan took to social media to apologize for not being able to meet his fans in person, writing:
“I have been advised by authorities that I cannot come out to meet all you lovely people waiting for me. I sincerely apologize—this decision was made keeping everyone’s safety and crowd control in mind. Thank you for understanding. Believe me, I’ll miss seeing you all more than you can imagine. I was eagerly waiting to share love and smiles with you. Lots of love to everyone.”
