At a recent event, Shah Rukh Khan finally answered this much-asked question. The event featured both Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone on stage, while Karan Johar engaged them in a wide-ranging conversation.

During the chat, Karan asked SRK, “What do you do when you’re completely free and there are no cameras watching you?”

Shah Rukh’s candid reply offered fans a glimpse into his off-camera life.

At the WAVES event held in Mumbai, Shah Rukh Khan was asked a question that many fans have long wondered about: What does he do when he’s completely free and no cameras are following him?

In response, SRK said,
“Actually Karan, you know this, and Deepika knows it too. Even my close friends, whom I love dearly, would have seen this — I don’t do anything. I’ve said this before too — my father taught me: ‘Those who do nothing, do wonders.’ So honestly, I do nothing, yaar. I really don’t do anything.”

He continued with a touch of humor and humility:
“I do some housework. If the house is being cleaned and my wife tells me to clean a particular room, I do it. And that’s the honest truth. If my son tells me his notebooks don’t have covers — well, nowadays there are no notebooks, just iPads — and he wants them updated or sorted, I do that too. I take care of small things. Or sometimes, I just do absolutely nothing.”

SRK also shared his approach to life when he's off-set:
“I avoid overworking, overthinking, or overdoing anything. I sort of enter a meditative state. So when I’m not on a film set, I’m just at home, doing nothing. I’m being completely honest. Of course, I try to keep my friends happy, I play with my kids. But beyond that, I don’t think I do anything. I just enjoy spending time with myself.”
