Business
Despite Gautam Gambhir’s assurance of support, a prominent Indian cricketer has been left out of the Asia Cup team.
AHPI (Association of Healthcare Providers India) has given a big blow to Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company. Under AHPI, more than 15 thousand hospitals in the country will stop taking cashless claims from Bajaj Allianz General Insurance from September 1, 2025. Since then, there has been a dispute between the hospital and the insurance companies.
More than 15 thousand hospitals in the country will stop taking cashless claims from Bajaj Allianz General Insurance from September 1, 2025. This step has been taken because the hospitals believe that there were delays in payments and inadequate reimbursements to the policy holders of Bajaj Allianz General Insurance.
At the same time, if media reports are to be believed, a notice has also been sent to Care regarding stopping cashless treatment. Many more insurance companies have been asked by the hospitals to stop cashless treatment. This means that first the payment will be made, later it will be reimbursed.
What action did IRDAI take
Due to this news, IRDAI has brought a solution to this dispute. IRDA said that as per the rules, network hospitals cannot refuse cashless service. If any hospital does this, then insurance companies can take action against them.
What did the company say?
Bajaj Allianz General Insurance CEO Tapan Singhal said that none of our customers will face any problem and till now we have not come across a single case of refusal of cashless claim, but even if it happens, we will ensure that our customer gets the money in his account before making payment to the hospital.
Bajaj Allianz General Insurance's Head of Health Administration, Bhaskar Nerurka said that we are surprised by this announcement. At Bajaj Allianz, we always believe that all our policyholders should get the best possible hospitalization with quality service when needed. So that there is no shortage in their treatment.
Along with this, he said that we will actively contact all the hospitals to settle any questions or outstanding amounts from our side. We are confident that we will work together with AHPI and its member hospitals in a harmonious manner and arrive at a solution that benefits our customers.
