FIR Against ‘The Bar Stock Exchange’ in Kamala Mills for Playing Music Without License

The FIR No. 0312/2026 was filed on 24th July by Sandeep Gaikwad of Novex Communications Pvt. Ltd. under Sections 51, 63, and 69 of the Copyright Act, 1957.
As per the complaint, from 26th December 2025 till date— for the last approx eight months — the bar has been illegally playing more than 21 popular Bollywood songs including Kala Chashma, Bang, Ghoomar, and Burj Khalifa between 9 PM – 11 PM without obtaining license from copyright holders like Sa Re Ga Ma, Tips Music, T-Series, Zee Music, and YRF.
The FIR names Arikya Hotels Pvt. Ltd.and Directors Manas Modi and Rikki Raut
Police have initiated investigation and are also looking into other branches of THE BAR STOCK EXCHANGE.
The Bar Stock Exchange currently operates 13 outlets across Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane:
