Foreign Minister Exposes Trump’s Mediation Claim, Cites Russia-Ukraine War

In a sharp rebuttal to former U.S. President Donald Trump’s claims of mediating between India and Pakistan, the Foreign Minister dismissed the comparison to the Russia-Ukraine war. Emphasizing historical context, he stated the India-Pakistan conflict is not older than 1947, subtly undercutting attempts to internationalize the issue.

 
 

Amidst the Indo-Pak tension, American President Donald Trump also announced ceasefire without any information or consent. He claimed that he used trade to get ceasefire between India and Pakistan. Which caused a lot of controversy. However, India has always denied this. India says that Trump did this only to come into limelight. Now the statement of Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar has also come out regarding this.

S. Jaishankar is currently on a tour of Europe. During this, he said in an interview to a Danish TV channel TV2 that Pakistan said that the Indo-Pak conflict ended because we attacked them on 10 May.

Foreign Minister took a jibe on Russia-Ukraine war

During an interview to a foreign news channel, when the Foreign Minister was asked a question about American mediation, he took a jibe at Trump and said that the Russia and Ukraine war has entered the fourth year. There are many other wars in the world. In such a situation, if there is a world leader like Trump in the world, then it is a good thing.

He also said that our relationship with Pakistan has been bad for the last several decades. Its history is not older than 1947. Let us tell you that, Trump had given a strange statement saying that he would try to solve the Kashmir issue between India and Pakistan which has been going on for 1000 years.
