Gold declines today, silver becomes costlier: Gold fell by ₹563 to ₹98,810, while silver is being sold at ₹1.07 lakh per kilogram.
Gold prices have dropped today, i.e., on June 17. According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA) website, gold has fallen by ₹563 to ₹98,810 per 10 grams. Earlier, it was priced at ₹99,373, which was also its all-time high.
Meanwhile, the price of silver has increased by ₹252, reaching ₹1,06,952 per kilogram. Earlier, it was at ₹1,06,700. On June 10, silver had touched its all-time high of ₹1,07,000.

Gold has become ₹22,648 costlier so far this year
Since January 1, the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold has increased from ₹76,162 to ₹98,810 — a rise of ₹22,648.
Similarly, silver has gone up from ₹86,017/kg to ₹1,06,952/kg — an increase of ₹20,935.
In comparison, gold became costlier by ₹12,810 in the entire year of 2024.
Gold could reach ₹1.03 lakh this year
According to Kedia Advisory Director Ajay Kedia, ongoing geopolitical tensions, including the conflict between Israel and Iran, are supporting gold prices. As demand continues to rise, gold could touch ₹1.03 lakh per 10 grams this year. Silver could rise up to ₹1.30 lakh/kg.
