Vodafone Idea Q4 Report: Loss Reduced, Revenue Strengthens, Plans to Raise ₹20,000 Crore Fund

Vodafone Idea Limited (VI), a leading telecom company, reported a net loss of ₹7,166 crore in the fourth quarter of the financial year 2024-25, which is 6.63% lower compared to the same quarter last year. A year ago, the company had posted a loss of ₹7,675 crore.

 

For the three months from January to March, the company’s total revenue stood at ₹11,013 crore, up 3.83% from ₹10,606 crore in the same quarter last year. This increase reflects strengthened earnings for the company.

Vodafone Idea’s board has also approved raising ₹20,000 crore to support the company’s expansion, allowing better investment in network and service enhancement.

ARPU Up by 14.2%
The company’s Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) for this quarter was ₹175, compared to ₹153 in the same period last year, showing a 14.2% increase. This indicates Vodafone Idea’s improved ability to generate higher revenue from its customers.

Share Market Fluctuations
Vodafone Idea’s shares closed at ₹6.91 on Friday, down 3.22%. The stock has declined 3% over the past month and 17% over six months. However, on a one-year basis, the share price has risen by 55%. The company’s market capitalization is approximately ₹74,970 crore.
