BSF announces 549 Constable (GD) vacancies under sports quota; applications open from December 27

The Border Security Force (BSF) has invited applications for 549 Constable (GD) posts under the sports quota. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official recruitment portal from December 27.
The recruitment drive is open to sportspersons from over 30 disciplines, including athletics, boxing, wrestling, hockey, football, kabaddi, volleyball, shooting, swimming, yoga and several other recognized sports.
Eligibility criteria
Applicants must have passed Class 10 and should have represented their country in an international championship. The age limit for candidates is 18 to 23 years, calculated as on August 1, 2025. Age relaxation will be applicable for reserved category candidates as per government norms.
Physical standards
For male candidates, the minimum height requirement is 170 cm, with a chest measurement of at least 80 cm unexpanded and 85 cm expanded. Female candidates must have a minimum height of 157 cm.
Pay and benefits
Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of ā¹21,700 to ā¹69,100 per month, along with allowances and benefits as applicable to central government employees.
Selection process
The selection process will include scrutiny of applications and document verification, followed by a Physical Standard Test (PST). Candidates who qualify will undergo a Detailed Medical Examination (DME) before final selection.
