The age limit for general category candidates ranges from 18 to 25 years as of September 23, 2025. OBC candidates receive relaxation up to 28 years, while SC/ST candidates can apply until 30 years of age.

Physical requirements include minimum height of 168 cm for male candidates and 157 cm for female candidates. Male applicants must have a chest measurement of 80 cm, expandable to 85 cm.

Selection Process and Examination Pattern

The comprehensive selection process includes Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Computer Based Test (CBT), Document Verification, Dictation Test and Paragraph Reading Test (specifically for Radio Operator positions), and Medical Examination.

The written examination comprises 100 questions carrying 200 marks, with a duration of two hours. The question distribution includes 40 questions from Physics (80 marks), 20 questions each from Mathematics and Chemistry (40 marks each), and 20 questions from English and General Knowledge (40 marks). The exam features negative marking of 0.25 marks for incorrect answers.

General, OBC, and EWS category candidates must pay an application fee of ₹100 plus ₹59 CSC charge. SC, ST, female, departmental, and ex-servicemen candidates are exempted from the examination fee but must pay the CSC charge.

Selected candidates will receive an attractive salary package under Pay Level-4, with basic pay starting at Rs.25,500 and reaching up to Rs.81,100 per month. The in-hand salary is approximately Rs.27,000 monthly, including allowances such as Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and Transport Allowance.
