Educational Qualifications

• Junior Engineer (Civil): Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised institute.

• Pump Operator: ITI certificate in Machinist or Fitter trade from a recognised institute.

• Work Inspector (Mechanical): Class 10 pass with ITI in Machinist, Fitter, Wireman, or Electrician trade.

• Junior Engineer (Electrical): Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering from a recognised institute.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years

• Maximum Age: 37 years

• Unreserved Women, BC & EBC: Up to 40 years

• SC/ST: Up to 42 years

• Questions: 100 (Objective type)

• Negative Marking: 1 mark

Junior Engineer

• Questions: 100 (CBT)

• Duration: 2 hours

• Negative Marking: One-fourth mark

Junior Engineer Syllabus (Overview)

• Civil Engineering: Building Materials, RCC Design, Surveying, Soil Mechanics, Hydraulics, Irrigation, Transportation Engineering, Steel Design, Estimation and Valuation.

• Electrical Engineering: Basic Electrical, Machines, Power Systems, Control Systems, Power Electronics, Protection and Switchgear.

• Mechanical Engineering: Strength of Materials, Thermodynamics, IC Engines, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Machine Design.

• General: 40%

• SC/ST: 36.5%
