Indore’s Riddhi Agrawal Secures AIR 6 in CLAT UG 2026, Emerges Second Female Topper

Riddhi Agrawal, a 12th-grade commerce student from Indore, has secured All India Rank (AIR) 6 in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) UG 2026, the Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLUs) announced on Thursday. She also ranked second in the All India Women’s category, making her the top performer from Madhya Pradesh. The exam was topped by Gitali Gupta, who scored 112 marks.

Riddhi’s achievement stands out for both merit and circumstance. Born in Balaghat, she completed her schooling up to Class 10 at Green Valley Public School before moving to Indore for higher studies. Her father, Rajiv Agrawal, runs a small utensil shop, while her mother, Madhuri Agrawal, is a homemaker. To pursue her goals, Riddhi stayed at her aunt’s residence in Indore, away from her parents.

Currently a Class 12 commerce student at Spring Valley Public School, Kanadiya, Riddhi attends school primarily for examinations, allowing her to focus on competitive preparation. She enrolled in VIDHIGYA, a CLAT coaching institute, in April 2024, preparing alongside her board studies.

Rejecting rigid routines, Riddhi adopted a goal-oriented approach. “I never followed a fixed timetable. I set daily targets and slept only after completing them,” she said. Her interest in law took shape early. “After Class 9, I realised that if I developed interest in the subjects, I could prepare for CLAT,” she added.

Riddhi plans to appear for her board examinations before seeking admission to National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru, her preferred choice. She aims to build a career in corporate law.

Advising future aspirants, she emphasised composure. “The more pressure you take, the more likely you are to make mistakes. Staying calm improves performance,” she said, adding that focused preparation matters more than taking a drop year.
