JEE Mains 2026 Registration Alert: NTA Urges Aspirants to Prepare Documents Now
Digital Desk
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to kick off registrations for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2026 in October. Ahead of the highly anticipated registration window, the NTA has issued a crucial notification on September 29, urging all aspiring candidates to prepare and update essential documents immediately to ensure a seamless application process.
The JEE Mains 2026 exam will be conducted in two sessions, following the pattern of previous years. The first session is scheduled for January 2026, and the second session will follow in April 2026.
To avoid potential form rejection and last-minute hassles, candidates have been specifically advised to have their Aadhaar Card, UDID Card, and Category Certificates ready. The NTA stresses the importance of ensuring these documents are updated and valid.
Document Verification is Key
A major focus of the NTA's advisory is on the Aadhaar card. Aspirants must meticulously cross-check that their details—including name, date of birth, photo, address, and father's name—are accurate on the Aadhaar card. Crucially, the date of birth on the Aadhaar card must match the details on the 10th marksheet. Any discrepancies should be corrected before filling out the application form.
Similarly, candidates belonging to reserved categories must ensure their Category Certificates are valid and renewed as required. Persons with Disabilities (PwD) must also confirm that their certificates are valid and updated. Preparing these documents in advance will streamline the application process and prevent rejection later on.
The NTA has strictly advised candidates to rely only on the official websites for all future updates, detailed notifications, and information notices. Aspirants should regularly check nta.ac.in and the dedicated JEE Main portal, jeemain.nta.ac.in.The proactive guidance from NTA aims to facilitate a smooth registration process for lakhs of students vying for a seat in top engineering institutions across the country.
