'Learning by doing' will bring a flood of creativity in children, how is the picture of education changing in UP?

Learning by doing program is going on in 2274 basic schools of Uttar Pradesh, which aims to connect children with real life. This program started in collaboration with UNICEF is motivating children to learn through experiments. Children are making projects and finding solutions to social problems. The target is to start it in 3288 schools by the year 2025.

'Learning by doing' program is being run in 2274 basic schools of the state with the aim of enhancing the talent of children and giving them education by connecting them with real life. This program is taking children out of the limited world of books and inspiring them to learn by experimenting. Children are now making projects themselves, preparing models and finding solutions to social problems.

This program was started in collaboration with UNICEF. Initially it was implemented as a pilot project in 60 basic schools of 15 districts. After the success of the pilot, it was expanded to 2274 schools. The target is to start it in 3288 schools by the end of the year 2025.

For this, teachers have been given special training at the headquarters level. Children are being given project-based education in four major areas of agriculture, home and health, workshop engineering and energy and environment. These subjects are not only part of the curriculum, but are also promoting the imagination and creativity of children.

Children work together in groups, discuss, identify problems and find their solutions. In this process, they learn life-useful skills like scientific thinking, technical skills, group work, leadership ability and social responsibility.

Children displayed their innovations at an exhibition organized by the Basic Education Department at Lok Bhavan on Monday. Children of Basic School of Aurangabad presented projects like mobile projector, smart shoes for Divyangjan and DC cooler, the Chief Minister saw the innovation of the children
