The Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will be held on May 25, 2025. The UPSC CSE Preliminary Examination will be conducted in two shifts, the first shift will be from 9:30 am to 11:30 am and the second shift will be from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
UPSC CSE Prelims 2025: Check these guidelines before the exam
Candidates must ensure to reach the examination center 30 minutes before the start of the examination otherwise they will not be allowed to take the exam.
Candidates must bring their admit card to the examination center, without which they will not be allowed to enter.
Candidates must bring their valid identity card to the examination center and the information given on the identity card should also match the information given on the admit card.
In case the photo on the admit card is not clear, candidates must bring a new passport size photo to the exam centre.
UPSC advises to use a black ballpoint pen to fill in your OMR sheet. To fill in your exam sheet, use a blue ballpoint pen.
UPSC CSE Prelims 2025: What things will not be allowed?
Expensive items are not allowed.
No bags or handbags are allowed.
Mobile phones are strictly prohibited inside the exam centre.
Digital devices like smart watches are not allowed.
No material like notes, books are allowed.
