The age limit is set between 21 to 40 years, with the maximum age calculated as of July 1, 2025. Reserved category candidates receive age relaxations as per government norms, including five years for SC/ST/OBC categories and additional relaxation for physically disabled candidates.

Attractive Salary Structure

The position offers an impressive salary package ranging from Rs.47,600 to Rs.1,51,100 per month under Pay Matrix Level 8 as per the 7th Pay Commission. The in-hand salary typically ranges between Rs.60,000 to Rs.80,000+ monthly after including allowances such as Dearness Allowance (approximately 65% of basic pay), House Rent Allowance, and medical benefits. Additional perks include government accommodation or HRA, travel allowance, and comprehensive medical coverage under CGHS.

Selection Process and Exam Pattern

The recruitment follows a four-stage selection process: Preliminary Examination, Mains Examination, Interview, and Medical Examination. The Preliminary exam serves as a screening test with 150 total marks divided into General Knowledge (50 marks) and Law sections (100 marks). Successful candidates proceed to the descriptive Mains examination worth 500 marks across multiple papers, followed by a 50-mark personality test interview.

Interested candidates can apply online through the official website uppsc.up.nic.in from September 16 to October 16, 2025. The application fees are structured as follows: Rs.125 for General/OBC/EWS categories, Rs.65 for SC/ST candidates, and Rs.25 for physically handicapped applicants. Candidates have until October 24, 2025, to make corrections to their submitted applications.
