“We Will Destroy the Enemies of Allah”: Top Iranian Cleric Issues Moharebeh Fatwa Against Trump & Netanyahu

On June 30, Grand Ayatollah Naser Makarem Shirazi issued a powerful moharebeh (waging war against God) fatwa against U.S. President Trump and Israeli PM Netanyahu, labeling them "enemies of God" and urging Muslims worldwide to resist them. Under Iranian religious law, the charge of moharebeh carries extreme punishments—including execution, crucifixion, or limb amputation—making the decree both a religious condemnation and a political escalation amid heightened Middle East tensions.

Iran's Shia cleric Ayatollah Naser Makarem Shirazi has issued a fatwa against US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He has called both the leaders enemies of God and has appealed to Muslims to unite and overthrow them. This fatwa is in response to the threats on Iran.

Iran's biggest Shia cleric Grand Ayatollah Naser Makarem Shirazi has issued a strict fatwa against US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In this fatwa, both the leaders have been called 'enemies of God' and Muslims around the world have been appealed to unite and overthrow them.
This fatwa has come in response to the threats against Iran's Islamic regime, which recently fought a 12-day war with Israel and America. According to Iran's Mehr News Agency, Ayatollah Makarem said, "Any person or government that threatens our leader or marja (religious leader) will be considered a 'moharebeh' (warrior against God)."

Under Iranian law, a 'moharebeh' can be punished with death, crucifixion, mutilation or deportation.
