PM Modi's Warm Welcome in Trinidad and Tobago by PM Kamla Persad

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrives in Trinidad and Tobago, warmly welcomed by Prime Minister Kamla Persad, who dons a sari. Modi praises her for carrying forward India's rich cultural heritage, despite being far from the homeland.

 
 

After concluding his two-day visit to Ghana, PM Modi arrived in Trinidad and Tobago early Friday morning. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was given a grand welcome at the airport in Port of Spain, the capital of Trinidad and Tobago. Trinidad and Tobago Prime Minister Kamala Persad-Bissessar and her 38 ministers and four MPs gave a grand welcome to Modi at the airport.

Artists of Indian origin welcomed PM Modi with a traditional dance. PM Modi looked very happy on feeling the complete Indianness in Trinidad and Tobago.

Addressing the people of the Indian community at a community event at the National Cycling Velodrome in Cova, Prime Minister Modi said, 'I know that the journey of the Indian community in Trinidad and Tobago is full of courage. The ancestors of many people present here have come from Bihar. The heritage of Bihar is the pride of India as well as the world.
