The 90th Thessaloniki International Fair is underway in Greece from September 5 to 13, with B2B meetings scheduled for September 7-8.
The 90th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF 2026) is underway in Greece, bringing together businesses, investors, trade representatives and institutions for a major international exhibition focused on commerce, innovation and economic cooperation.
The landmark edition is being held at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Centre from September 5 to 13, 2026, according to the official TIF website and Greek government information. The 90th edition also marks 100 years since the first Thessaloniki International Fair was held in 1926.
Business Meetings Scheduled for September 7-8
A key part of this year's fair is its international business-to-business programme.
The Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) has scheduled onsite B2B meetings for September 6 and September 7–8. On Monday and Tuesday, September 7 and 8, meetings are scheduled from 4:20 pm to 7:20 pm at a designated area in Pavilion 15 of the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Centre.
The meetings are intended to facilitate direct business contacts and potential partnerships between participating companies and organisations.
Japan Is the Honoured Country
Japan is the Honoured Country of TIF 2026, with its participation hosted in Pavilion 13.
The Japanese presence is expected to showcase the country's technology, innovation, business capabilities and cultural heritage. The choice of Japan comes as the fair marks a significant milestone in its own history and seeks to strengthen international commercial and institutional connections.
More Than 1,300 Exhibitors
The official TIF website says the 90th edition features more than 1,300 exhibitors across approximately 32,000 square metres of exhibition space.
The event is being positioned as a major meeting point for business, culture and innovation, with exhibitors and participants from Greece and international markets.
The fair's multi-sector character allows companies to present products and services while exploring trade, investment and partnership opportunities.
A Century of Thessaloniki Fair
The 2026 edition carries particular significance because it coincides with the 100th anniversary of the first TIF in 1926.
Over the decades, the fair has developed into one of Greece's major annual trade and exhibition events. The centenary year is being used to highlight both its history and its transition towards a more contemporary international business platform.
India and International Trade Opportunities
For Indian businesses, international trade fairs such as TIF provide an avenue to explore European markets, identify potential distributors and establish commercial contacts.
India Trade Promotion Organisation has included the 90th Thessaloniki International Fair in its 2026 international events calendar. ITPO describes itself as the Government of India's apex trade promotion and trade facilitation institution, connecting Indian businesses with international markets.
The fair's business meetings on September 7 and 8 therefore offer an opportunity for participating companies to explore cross-border commercial partnerships alongside the broader exhibition programme.
TIF 2026 Dates and Venue
The official TIF schedule places the 90th Thessaloniki International Fair from September 5 to 13, 2026, at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Centre in Greece.
With its centenary milestone, international exhibitors, Japanese participation and dedicated B2B meetings, the 2026 edition is expected to remain an important platform for business networking, trade promotion and international economic engagement.
