After Operation Sindoor Defeat, Pakistan Seeks Support from Russia
Following its setback in India's Operation Sindoor, Pakistan has turned to Russia for support. A letter from PM Shahbaz Sharif was personally handed over to President Vladimir Putin, signaling Islamabad's efforts to strengthen ties and seek strategic assistance.
After being badly beaten by India in Operation Sindoor, now the Pakistan delegation has reached Russia. On Tuesday, a Pakistani delegation met Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Moscow and handed over a letter from Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif for Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Syed Tariq Fatmi also briefed Lavrov about the recent developments in South Asia.
A few days ago, India had reprimanded Pakistan a lot in Russia
His visit came a few days after the highly successful visit of the all-party parliamentary delegation led by DMK MP Kanimori Karunanidhi, who spread awareness about Pakistan-sponsored cross-border terrorism and secured solid Russian support for India's zero-tolerance policy against terrorism.
Russia said this about Pakistan and India
Citing the Russian Foreign Ministry, the news agency reported that Lavrov said that direct dialogue between Pakistan and India is needed to build mutual trust between the two countries.
Fatmi also conveyed the Prime Minister's best wishes and expressed his country's desire to enhance bilateral cooperation with Russia on a number of issues, including energy, transport connectivity, trade and other areas.
Pakistan last month announced sending a team of experts abroad to inform the world about the four-day conflict with India and highlight its view on the conflict.
