All-Party Delegation Slams Pakistan, Secures Russia's Support Against

Indian MPs in an all-party delegation strongly criticized Pakistan's role in fostering terrorism and gained Russia's backing in the global fight against terror. The united stance underscores India's commitment to combating terrorism on international platforms.

India's parliamentary delegations on Friday met top officials of Russia, Japan and UAE and apprised them of India's tough stand against terrorism and exchanged views on increasing cooperation in fighting terrorism and tackling radicalism after Operation Sindoor.

India got Russia's support in the fight against terrorism
The Indian delegation held extensive discussions with Russia on the fight against terrorism and informed the Russian side about Operation Sindoor.

Russia said that both the countries are together in the fight against terrorism. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, who is visiting three European countries, said in a post on X - Team India has sent a strong and unified message in the fight against terrorism.

The delegation of MPs led by DMK MP Kanimozhi is currently in Russia on the first leg of a five-nation visit to make the international community aware of Pakistan-sponsored terrorism. DMK MP Kanimozhi said in Russia that we have come here to clarify our stand. It is very important for this delegation to be in Russia. Russia has always been a very important strategic partner for India. We have had very strong bilateral relations for 80 years.

26 innocent people lost their lives in Pahalgam terror attack

He said that we feel it is very important to contact Russia and clarify our position and seek their support at this critical moment, when we have lost the lives of 26 innocent people in the Pahalgam terror attack, this is not the first time.

He also said that many times in the past our citizens have been attacked, our military bases have been attacked. India has always sought peace and many of our leaders, including the current Prime Minister, have made sincere efforts to resolve the conflict and establish peace. But due to Pakistan's stance on terrorism, we have not been able to do so.

The world will have to unite to stop terrorism

He further said that today we have come to Russia with the message of not only the Government of India but also the people of India. We hope that the world will support us in our fight against terrorists. Attacks are continuing. Today, the world has to unite to stop this.

Russia is a very important strategic partner of India

DMK MP Kanimozhi said that we also met former Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Fradko, who is the head of the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies. We met thinkers and parliamentarians in Russia. This country is a very important strategic partner and a very old ally of India.

She said that this all-party delegation sent by the Government of India has met people from different political parties and ideologies in Russia and we have explained in detail what happened before, during and after the Pahalgam attack.

Also sought India's support

Further the MP said that we have also sought Russia's understanding and its support to India in fighting terrorism... Terrorism is an issue that is being faced not only by India but the whole world. No country should give shelter and support to terrorists.
