Hafiz Saeed Using Bangladesh as Launchpad for Attacks on India, Claims Lashkar Commander

Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) founder Hafiz Saeed is allegedly planning fresh terror attacks against India using Bangladesh as a new base of operations, according to a video statement by senior Lashkar commander Saifullah Saif. The video, which surfaced from a rally in Khairpur Tamewali, Pakistan, on October 30, shows Saif claiming that “Hafiz Saeed is not sitting idle; he is preparing to attack India through Bangladesh.
Saif, addressing a crowd that included minors, declared that LeT fighters are already stationed in Bangladesh and “ready to avenge Operation Sindoor,” referring to India’s counter-terror strike on Lashkar facilities in Pakistan earlier this year. He further claimed that the U.S. now supports Pakistan, and that Bangladesh “is again coming closer” to Islamabad.
Sources in Indian intelligence believe that Saeed has dispatched a close aide to Bangladesh to recruit and train local youths for terror missions. The development has raised fresh concerns over cross-border infiltration and the revival of LeT’s regional networks.
The latest threat follows a series of provocative videos released by LeT’s deputy chief, Saifullah Kasuri, who vowed to “wipe out Hindus from India” and threatened Prime Minister Narendra Modi directly. Kasuri, believed to be operating from LeT’s Muridke headquarters during India’s Operation Sindoor was seen in earlier footage being felicitated by Pakistani army officErs.
Kasuri has long been considered Hafiz Saeed’s right-hand man and is accused of orchestrating multiple attacks in Jammu and Kashmir through The Resistance Front (TRF), a Lashkar proxy created by Pakistan’s ISI after the abrogation of Article 370.
Security agencies in India are closely monitoring developments in Bangladesh and Pakistan, fearing a coordinated escalation of LeT-linked activities in the region.
