Plan for Regime Change in Iran: What Will Be the Outcome of Israel's Operation 'Rising Lion'?
Iran
A fierce battle has been raging between Iran and Israel for the past four days. The war was initiated by Israel, and now Iran has intensified it to a devastating level. Israel launched Operation ‘Rising Lion’, and Iran has responded with Operation True Promise 3.
Iran’s stance is changing by the hour and by the minute. Iran has declared that the war will continue until Israel is wiped out. In response, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that Iran will have to pay a heavy price for these attacks.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military continues to target key Iranian locations. They even launched attacks during live broadcasts on Iran’s state television channels.
The war between Israel and Iran is becoming increasingly destructive. Israel is systematically eliminating Iran’s top commanders, while Iran is launching ballistic missile attacks on Israeli cities. Israel has bombed Iran’s nuclear facilities and oil and gas depots. In retaliation, Iran has turned Israeli cities into graveyards and bombed refinery centers.
Israel’s ‘Operation Rising Lion’ vs Iran’s ‘Operation True Promise 3’: War Reaches New Levels of Destruction
The war that Israel began by sending 200 fighter jets into Iran has now escalated dramatically, as Iran has vowed to continue fighting until Israel is wiped out. This battle is no longer limited to airstrikes and retaliation—it is evolving into a brutal and complex conflict with strategic implications.
The name itself—"True Promise 3"—symbolizes final justice and retribution. The severity of the war became clear when Iran warned foreign nationals to leave the country and launched multiple ballistic missiles into central Israel.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian declared:
“We must fight hand in hand with courage. For every martyr, hundreds will rise to keep the flag flying.”
Meanwhile, IRGC Ground Forces Commander Mohammad Pakpour said:
“Whether or not Israel stops its attacks, Iran will continue its military operations.”
Ballistic Missile Assault on Israel
Iran launched over 100 ballistic missiles, targeting Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Jerusalem, catching Israel off guard. Iran broke through the highly trusted Iron Dome air defense system, exposing vulnerabilities.
For the first time, Iran used its three most lethal missiles:
Emad (Range: 1,700 km)
Ghadr (Range: 300–2,000 km)
Kheibar Shekan (Range: ~1,450 km)
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards claimed that they used a new attack method, causing Israel’s multi-layered defense systems to misfire and target each other.
Tel Aviv Under Fire
Throughout the night, the skies over Tel Aviv lit up with missile strikes and interceptors. This was Iran’s biggest-ever attack on Israel, and resulted in widespread destruction, with rescue efforts hindered by raging fires.
Netanyahu's Shocking Claim
In an explosive interview with Fox News, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu claimed:
“Iran tried to assassinate me. A missile landed right at the window of my bedroom.”
His son’s wedding was postponed due to the missile threat. According to the Times of Israel, Avner Netanyahu was set to marry Amit Yardeni, but the ceremony was delayed amid ongoing attacks.
Crackdown on Mossad Spies in Iran
Iran isn’t only attacking Israel militarily—it’s also targeting Israeli espionage operations. One man, Ismail Fakhri, was executed for allegedly spying for Mossad, and nine others have been arrested this week.
Iran also claims to have discovered a three-story Israeli drone factory within its borders, suggesting more such covert installations might exist.
Targeting Israel’s Key Military Figures and Iran’s Nuclear Program
Israel’s recent strikes have killed:
Mohammad Kazemi, IRGC’s Intelligence Chief
Hassan Mohaghegh, his deputy
Mohsen Bagheri, a senior IRGC commander
Israeli jets also bombed Mashhad Airport during aircraft refueling and struck 80+ military and strategic targets, including the SPND nuclear research HQ. In total, over 250 Iranian sites have been attacked, leading to:
244+ Iranian deaths, 600+ injured
24 deaths in Israel
What Is Israel’s Real Objective?
There are two clear motives behind Operation Rising Lion:
To destroy Iran’s nuclear program, which Israel sees as an existential threat.
To destabilize Iran internally, potentially leading to regime change and toppling the rule of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, who has held power for over 30 years.
Israel targeted Natanz, Iran’s most critical nuclear facility—considered the backbone of Iran’s nuclear infrastructure. However, despite a missile strike, Israel failed to fully penetrate its protective defenses.
What Lies Ahead?
Israel believes crippling Iran’s nuclear ambitions and weakening its leadership could eliminate future threats. However, if Iran’s regime survives this onslaught, it might accelerate its nuclear weapons development in response.
The war is now at a point where neither side is willing to back down, and the global stakes are escalating with every missile fired.
