Trump Praises Modi Ahead of China Visit, Responds to Pakistan

Ahead of Prime Minister Modi’s China visit, Donald Trump lauded him as a “wonderful person” and delivered a sharp response to Pakistan, drawing attention in international diplomatic circles.

US President Donald Trump once again claimed that he played an important role in preventing a nuclear war between India and Pakistan. According to Trump, he spoke to PM Modi and warned Pakistan to stop trade deals, after which the tension subsided. However, India has clarified that no third party had any role in this matter.

US President Donald Trump once again claimed that he played an important role in preventing a nuclear war between India and Pakistan.

During a cabinet meeting at the White House, Trump said that he spoke to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and warned Pakistan that if the tension continued, trade deals would be stalled. Trump claimed that after his warning, the tension between the two countries ended within a few hours.

Trump also said that this tension between India and Pakistan has been going on for a long time, which he stopped with his diplomacy and trade pressure. But India has made it clear that no third party had any role in this matter.

'I told Pakistan that if...'

"I spoke to Modi, who is a wonderful person. I asked, 'What is happening with Pakistan?' Then I spoke to Pakistan and said if you guys go to war, there will be no trade deal," Trump said at the White House.

Trump claimed that he threatened Pakistan with high tariffs and said, "You will be blown away, but I will not let war happen." According to him, the matter was resolved just five hours after the warning.

He further said, "But I said, what is happening? I said, I don't want to make any trade deal... I said, no, no, I don't want to make any trade deal with you. You are going to have a nuclear war.

Trump also said that during this tension, seven or more fighter planes were shot down, which cost up to $150 million. However, he did not say which country these planes belonged to nor did he give any evidence behind it. Trump had earlier also said that five planes were shot down, but this time he increased the number to seven."
