Zardari Warns India: Pakistan 'Fully Prepared' for Any Future Conflict
Digital Desk
President Asif Ali Zardari declared Saturday that Pakistan stands ready to defend itself robustly against any renewed Indian aggression, asserting that the brief May clash taught New Delhi that war is "no child's play."
Speaking at a massive rally marking the 18th death anniversary of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, Zardari praised the military's response during the four-day conflict, which ended in a US-brokered ceasefire on May 10.
He claimed Pakistan exercised restraint, saying more Indian jets could have been downed. Zardari recounted rejecting bunker advice, insisting leaders face battlefields head-on.
The president highlighted three key points: India's self-perceived power lacks Pakistan's resolve; he stood firm without shelter; and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir confronted the enemy directly, earning global praise, including from US President Donald Trump.
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, addressing the same crowd, hailed the May outcome as Pakistan's "biggest achievement" of 2025, proclaiming a battlefield defeat of India.
He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi now "hides" at Munir's mention, crediting nuclear deterrence, Bhutto-era missile tech, and Chinese-sourced jets that allegedly downed six Indian aircraft.
The rally drew huge crowds from across provinces, underscoring unity against terrorism.

Tensions flared after a April terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, killing 26 tourists. India blamed Pakistan-linked groups and launched Operation Sindoor strikes; Pakistan denied involvement and retaliated.
Both sides claimed victories amid heavy disinformation, with disputed aircraft losses. A fragile truce holds, but rhetoric remains heated.
Analysts warn such statements risk escalating lingering strains between the nuclear rivals.
