PM Modi to Inaugurate 'India Steel 2025' in Mumbai on April 24

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the prestigious India Steel 2025 event on April 24 in Mumbai, the Ministry of Steel announced on Thursday.
The Prime Minister will address participants via video conferencing, marking the opening of the sixth edition of this key biennial international exhibition and conference.
The high-profile inauguration will also be attended by Union Minister for Steel and Heavy Industries H.D. Kumaraswamy, Minister of State Bhupathi Raju Srinivasa Varma, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai.
Organized under the aegis of the Ministry of Steel, the three-day event is set to witness over 12,000 business visitors, 250 exhibitors, and 1,200 delegates from across industries, government bodies, and international delegations. The platform will serve as a key hub for policy discussions, trade opportunities, and technological showcase in the global steel ecosystem.
India Steel 2025 will revolve around critical themes such as boosting domestic steel consumption, highlighting advanced and futuristic applications, and strengthening global partnerships. The event underscores India’s ambition to reach a production capacity of 300 million tonnes and a per capita steel consumption of 160 kg by 2030, aligning with the targets set under the National Steel Policy.
Adding to the international appeal, the event will also host senior global dignitaries and industry leaders, including the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, and ambassadors from Australia, Mozambique, and Mongolia. Their participation reflects India's growing international collaboration and strategic engagement in the steel sector.
India Steel 2025 is poised to be a cornerstone for innovation, sustainability, and resilient growth in one of the nation’s most vital industries.
