PM Modi met the delegation that returned after exposing Pakistan to the world, why did Asaduddin Owaisi not attend?
New Delhi
PM Modi met the team that internationally highlighted Pakistan's actions. The absence of AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi from the meeting has become a topic of political discussion.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday evening met the members of the all-party delegation that visited world capitals to present India's firm stand against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism at the global level after Operation Sindoor. In this meeting, all the members shared their experiences with the Prime Minister, while the absence of AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi raised many questions.
The central government has already praised the work of seven delegations with more than 50 members, most of whom are current MPs. Apart from this, former MPs and former diplomats have also been part of these delegations, which visited 33 foreign capitals and the European Union.
Owaisi told the reason for absence
Owaisi's absence in the delegation meeting raised many questions. He answered all the questions by saying that he was out of the country and had to go to Dubai due to a medical emergency. He had to travel suddenly due to ill health of his relative and childhood friend. Owaisi clarified that he had informed his delegation leader Baijayant Panda about this situation. He also said that he was not allowed to attend the meeting.
PM Modi sought people's opinion
The main objective of Prime Minister Modi's meeting was to get people's opinion about his delegation. Congress leader Shashi Tharoor told the Prime Minister that the people of the countries he visited accepted this idea positively. Tharoor suggested that such ideas should be adopted in future as well. He also said that this meeting was very informal, where everyone shared their views openly. The reason for it was personal compulsion and not for any political reason.
