Mumbai Monorail halts amid rains, passengers rescued

Amid heavy rains in Mumbai, the monorail stopped due to a technical fault. Fire brigade teams were called in to safely evacuate stranded passengers.

Mumbai Monorail Video: Rain is causing trouble in Maharashtra. Due to heavy rain in Mumbai, many parts of the city are flooded. Meanwhile, a monorail suddenly stopped due to technical fault amid heavy rain in Mumbai. The incident caused panic among the passengers. The fire department was informed about this. The fire brigade team, which arrived on the information, rescued the passengers. The passengers who were stuck in the monorail were taken out of it and seated in another monorail coming from Chembur.

MMRDA's Public Relations Officer said that 17 passengers have been evacuated safely after a technical fault in the monorail in Wadala. Monorail Corporation said that this problem occurred due to a disruption in the supply, which is being investigated. At present, the monorail services have been partially affected.

MMRDA's Public Relations Officer said that the passengers were safely evacuated at 7:45 am. Reacting to the incident, Rajesh Anand Bhojane, councillor of ward 175 of Republican Party of India (Athawale), said that the train going to Wadala stopped. After this, the passengers were transferred to the train coming from Chembur.

People have to face trouble

Rajesh Anand Bhojane said that later the fire brigade came and started its work. Monorail officials are saying that it was a supply problem. The problem has been resolved. I urge the government to solve this recurring problem because people always travel by monorail. If the train stops, people have to face trouble.
