Jagran correspondent, New Delhi: Delhi High Court refused to grant bail to accused Mohsin Khan who has been in jail for three years in spying case for Pakistan.
Delhi High Court said that this crime was not just against any person, institution or group but against the integrity, sovereignty and security of India.
The accused used to send sensitive and classified information related to Indian armed forces to Pakistan and leniency cannot be shown in such a case. There is peace in the country because armed forces remain alert.
The court said, it does not want to release him on bail
The bench of Justice Swarn Kant Sharma said that the crime of the accused is related to the security of the entire country and Indians and the accused was part of a gang working against the security of the country.
In such a situation, the accused does not want to be released on bail. The court said that in such cases, instead of the time spent in custody, the court should work in the interest of justice and national security.
Accused Mohsin Khan said - there is no evidence against him
While seeking bail, Mohsin Khan said that he has been framed. He has no connection with espionage and there is no evidence against him.
It also said that the chargesheet has been filed in the case and he has been in jail for three years. The hearing in the case is going slow and the charges have been framed only on May 19.
At the same time, opposing the petition, the prosecution said that the bail plea of the co-accused has been rejected and Mohsin Khan has played an active role in espionage.

Mohsin Khan used to run a mobile repair and recharge shop. He used to take money by providing confidential information of the army to the visa officer of the Pakistan High Commission.
In the year 2021, Delhi Crime Branch received intelligence that some people from Delhi, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh are involved in anti-national activities.
The Crime Branch arrested accused Habibur Rahman from Pokhran, Rajasthan with confidential documents of the army. He had told that the confidential documents were received from a Naik clerk Paramjit Kumar.
He used to deliver the documents to Pakistan's visa officer Kazim Zia
He used to give these documents to Rana Mohammad Qasim Zia, Visa Officer in the Pakistan High Commission, either himself or through Mohsin Khan, a resident of Turkman Gate.
Investigation revealed that between the years 2017 and 2019, Naik Clerk was posted in Pokhran and he met Habibur Rahman, who supplies vegetables there.
After Pokhran, Paramjit was posted in a sensitive unit in Agra and Habibur Rahman also went there and Paramjit gave him confidential documents.
