Bomb Threat at Mumbai Airport Sparks Panic

Mumbai police received three consecutive bomb threat calls targeting the airport, triggering panic and a security alert. Authorities are investigating the source of the hoax and tightening security measures.
Threatening calls from three different numbers in Mumbai Police Control Room created panic. The caller claimed that a bomb has been placed at Mumbai International Airport and a big explosion is going to happen in some time. Mumbai Police immediately became alert after this call and a bomb squad team along with police officials also reached the airport. Despite the intensive search operation that lasted for hours, no suspicious object was recovered.
According to police officials, an unknown caller had threatened to bomb Terminal 2 of Mumbai Airport. Immediately after this information, senior officers of Mumbai Police and the bomb disposal squad reached the spot and started investigation. All areas of the airport were searched thoroughly, but the police did not find any evidence that could confirm the presence of a bomb.
Initial investigation has revealed that the threatening calls were made from mobile numbers active near the Assam and West Bengal border. Azad Maidan Police of Mumbai has started investigation against the unknown caller. Currently, the police is investigating the matter thoroughly to identify the person making the threat and find out his intentions.
