CM Rekha Gupta Seeks Maa Ganga’s Blessings for a Clean and Free-Flowing Yamuna
During her visit to Haridwar, CM Rekha Gupta took a holy dip in the Ganga and expressed her commitment to rejuvenating the Yamuna. She prayed for Maa Ganga's blessings to achieve an uninterrupted and clean Yamuna, emphasizing the importance of environmental preservation and river conservation.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta took a dip in the Ganga in Haridwar on Sunday on the occasion of completion of 100 days of her tenure. She took a bath in Brahmakund at Har Ki Pauri with her family and prayed for the prosperity of the country and the state. On this occasion, her husband Manish Gupta and son Nikunj were also with her. Rekha Gupta sought blessings from Maa Ganga that Yamuna river can also be made clean, uninterrupted and beautiful like Ganga.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta became emotional during the Ganga Pujan program, when Swami Chidanand Saraswati, President of Parmarth Niketan, welcomed her and praised her deep faith in the river Ganga.

Talking to the media in Rishikesh, the Chief Minister's husband Manish Gupta said that he has come here with the people of his area, which is a pleasant experience. He also told that he has deep faith in this place. Manish Gupta clarified that it is the right of the public to evaluate the work of the government, not his.
After bathing, Rekha Gupta performed Ganga Puja at Brahmakund, which was duly completed by the Tirtha Purohits of Ganga Sabha. She told that on the occasion of completion of the first 100 days of the Delhi government, she has come to Devbhoomi Haridwar and wished for the prosperity of the country through Ganga bath.
The Chief Minister said that while bowing at the feet of Mother Ganga, his prayer is that India should become a developed nation and in this developed India, Delhi should also make its special identity.
Rekha Gupta told that her main objective is to make Yamuna clean and uninterrupted like Ganga. She said that by getting the blessings of Ganga, she is trying to bring Yamuna in the same form. When asked about her future goals, she expressed her desire to establish Delhi as a developed and prosperous capital.
The Chief Minister attended the inauguration ceremony of 'Ganga Vatsalya' Ashram, where he was warmly welcomed by the saint community and devotees in the presence of Sadhvi Ritambhara. Along with this, he also met Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Avdheshanand Giri, the Peethadheeshwar of Juna Akhara and took his blessings.
