Heated Debate Begins on Operation Sindoor in Lok Sabha

A fiery discussion kicks off in the Lok Sabha on Operation Sindoor during the Monsoon Session. The debate is scheduled to continue non-stop for 16 hours, reflecting the issue’s high political and national significance.

Today is the sixth day of the Parliament Monsoon Session. A 16-hour marathon discussion has started in the Lok Sabha on Operation Sindoor. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has started the debate. 16 hours have been set aside for the debate in the Lok Sabha. However, due to the uproar of the opposition on the SIR issue, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla had to adjourn the House twice.

Om Birla came to the well and warned the opposition members who were creating a ruckus and said that keep the method right, this is the House. Whether you want to discuss Operation Sindoor or not, if you want to, then go to your seat. Opposition members remained in the well. On this, the Speaker said that raising any issue in the well will not lead to discussion. There is a rule procedure in the House. It is decided in the meeting of the Business Advisory Committee and after that there is a discussion in the House. The discussion on Operation Sindoor could not start in the Lok Sabha and the Speaker adjourned the proceedings of the House till 1 pm.

Let us tell you that on behalf of the government, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has started the debate. Home Minister Amit Shah and Foreign Minister Jaishankar will also answer the questions of the opposition. On behalf of the opposition, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav and other MPs will question the government.

Let us tell you that since the first day of the monsoon session, opposition MPs have been demanding answers from the government on the Pahalgam attack, Operation Sindoor and Trump's ceasefire claim. The first week of the monsoon session went on in uproar. In such a situation, till now all the parties have decided together that there will be a special session on Operation Sindoor in the Lok Sabha on Monday. The next day, on Tuesday, there will be a 16-hour debate on this issue in the Rajya Sabha as well. However, even today, before the debate started at 12 o'clock, due to the heavy uproar of the opposition, the proceedings of the Lok Sabha could not start.
