IndiGo flight receives bomb threat: Flight 6E 762 had around 200 people on board

Flight from Mumbai to the national capital, Delhi, received a bomb threat on Tuesday morning. After receiving the threat, a full emergency was declared for the flight at the Delhi airport. However, around 12 noon today the flight was cleared for all operations after all the necessary security checks were completed by the authorities.
The flight, operated with an Airbus A321neo aircraft, landed around 7.53 am, as per information available on the flight tracking website Flightradar24.com.
Flight 6E 762 had around 200 people on board, and security agencies found the threat to be non-specific, the report said.
"A security threat was noticed onboard IndiGo flight 6E 762 operating from Mumbai to Delhi on 30 September 2025. Following the established protocol, we informed the relevant authorities immediately and fully cooperated with them in carrying out the necessary security checks before the aircraft was cleared for operations", an IndiGo spokesperson.
Previous bomb threats
On September 19, Chennai witnessed a security scare after IndiGo’s flight 6E 1089 from Mumbai to Phuket was diverted mid-air due to a bomb threat.
This flight at that time had taken off from Mumbai, and was flying over the Bay of Bengal when crew members discovered a note inside the toilet claiming a bomb was on board. Acting swiftly, the pilot alerted authorities and diverted the plane to Chennai. After this, security agencies were immediately informed, and a thorough check of the aircraft is underway in Chennai.
