An Indigo Airlines flight from Chennai to Madurai developed a technical fault mid-air, due to which the flight had to return to Chennai.
Airport officials said that after about half an hour of flight, the pilot of the Indigo Airlines flight came to know about the fault, who then asked for permission to return and land in Chennai.
He said that the plane carrying about 68 passengers later landed safely here and all the passengers were taken off the plane. There was no immediate response from Indigo on this matter.
