The Narendra Modi Trust Centre was formally launched at the Delhi Press Club today, marking the beginning of a dedicated initiative to celebrate and safeguard the legacy of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
Founder Nabin Chandra Borah described the Centre as a tribute not just in words but in action. “This Trust will embody the values of leadership, national pride, and service to the people — principles that Shri Narendra Modi Ji has championed throughout his tenure,” Borah told the media.
Vision and Mission
The Trust will promote projects that reflect the Prime Minister’s vision and inspire public participation. Key initiatives include cultural programs, awareness campaigns, and memorial projects across the country.
A major proposal under its ambit is the installation of a landmark statue of PM Modi at Jalukbari Police Point in Guwahati, on privately-owned miadi patta land.
Inspiration for the Statue
Borah revealed that the concept was born in 2016 when he received a personal email from the Prime Minister, acknowledging his suggestions on governance. Motivated by this recognition, Borah envisioned a public monument that would honour Modi’s contributions to the nation.
Blueprints for the statue have already been submitted to the Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority along with formal applications to the Prime Minister’s Office. The project now awaits official approval, with the Trust taking charge of all follow-up efforts.
Borah concluded by inviting public support and urging authorities to expedite the process, saying, “This Trust is a pledge to honour leadership and inspire future generations.”
